The structure the door was installed on was old and the foundation had been settling for years so a standard install was not going to be easy. Brandon, my installer had to improvise some but made it work perfectly keeping everything within the quoted price. I love these guys! Shawn replaced a sliding glass door for me today. The door was on a deck with only "through the house access", and was a custom door that required filling and additional trim work. He arrived on time, was very polite and friendly, talked me through the process, and answered all of my questions. He cleaned up all the materials from my lawn and in my house, and gave me directions on adjustments I could make to the door if I would like (the tightness of the lock, painting extra trim on the exterior, etc.). I am extremely satisfied with my experience!

We just had two patio door installations done today. Brandon was our installer and did a nice job. He was on-time, friendly, and left things looking great. He also went above and beyond when we had some issues with the trim we ordered not being right. He ran out to make sure we had the right stuff we wanted, and installed it. It added time to his day, but I really appreciated he made sure it looked just right before he left. You just need to figure out your scheduling team, and routines. That experience took for ever and reqiured tons of follow-up. I was super annoyed.Once it finally got scheduled though, it was all good.

The door experience was not great with ordering and scheduling the door. We ordered the door 5/18/18 and it was finally installed on 8/15/18. The good news was Shawn as the installer. He did an excellent job, the doors are true and square. The door was done in a timely and efficient manner with clear communication about the job at beginning and end. We're happy with the door, the clean-up, and the tips he gave at the end. Yes, I would refer this installer to others. One tip for Home Depot might be to tell customers to be aware that new door deadbolts/handles may be needed with a new door install. Shawn shared this with us that the deadbolt we had was too small for the new door, and I happened to have a new set that worked with the door in our supplies. That was convenient for us, but would just like to know this kind of info ahead of time

Home Depot outsources their work, if you can request Shawn Hazel I would recommend him, He did a great job installing the front door in the middle of the winter. He was quick and kept me up to date while he was doing the installation. My walls are crooked since an older house and he wanted to let me know the door was level. I didn't have the trim finished yet to go around the door and he said that he would stop back to install once I was finished with the staining of the boards. I always tell installers they can leave the dirt and go to next project since I will clean after them. Shawn didn't listen and cleaned up after himself. He asked if I wanted to look at my old door one more time before he took away, since we had a connection for over 40 years.

The guy who installed our door was very friendly and explained things well. He cleaned up after installing the door. The only glitch was that Home Depot called and said we had an extra charge because the installer had arrived at our house and no one was home so they charged for an extra trip. But the only time I was given for the installation, I was home, so this was an error. Home Depot got it cleared up and we were not charged. Overall, the installer did a good job and we are satisfied with it.

I'm glad he called, and he was very friendly. "Smitty" did a great job installing the door, and it was perfectly done with a tight fit.
